
EASF Board President Janet Heinonen joins Lillian and Mike Boit to help host the MasterCard Foundation Scholars Program visit to Eldoret, Kenya this month. The Boits are founders of Kenya's Education and Social Empowerment Program which receives funding from EASF.
The MasterCard program is a 10-year, $500 million initiative aimed at helping high-achieving, low-income students from Sub-Saharan Africa attend universities/colleges including Stanford, Duke, Wellesley, Cal Berkeley, Michigan Sate, Arizona State, McGill, Toronto and British Columbia.
